Mel Hideko Simmons

Born in Hawaii and based in Seoul, I am a journalist and producer focused on the fashion, beauty, and entertainment industry in Asia and the Pacific.

I have a passion for using communication to support power players from underrepresented communities. From filming content at New York Fashion Week for designers to interviewing dentists in rural Tanzania, I've come to love many facets of the communications industry. My main interests are content production, journalism, and event planning.

I received a Bachelor of Science in Fashion Merchandising and will soon receive my Master's of Science in Communication. I am looking to continue my work in the marketing and communication field, supporting fashion, beauty, and entertainment.
